A Composers Competition in the name of Mr. Kaji Aso has been established and the first prize of $1000.00 will be awarded to the most outstanding composition during the month of July 2007.

Japanese Tea House "Flower Wind" Boston's First authentic Tea House created by Mr. Aso in 1986 at Kaji Aso Studio. Mr. Aso served as tea Master until his passing in 2006. Ms. Kate Finnegan a long time apprentice to Mr Aso continues to hold Tea Ceremony every Sunday at Kaji Aso Studio.

Commemorative "Yamasakura" planted Boston Public Gardens April 25th - Noon to 1 pm
As a memorial to Kaji Aso and his contributions to the Art and Culture of Boston a Yamasakura tree has been planted in his honor. The young tree may be seen near the Ether Fountain. At the base is a plaque which presents a haiku written by Mr. Aso:

End of the day
yet still
cherry petals ar flying

Kaji Aso Studio - Institute for the Arts Situated in a brownstone near Boston's "Avenue of the Arts" Kaji Aso Studio was established by Mr. Kaji Aso in 1973. The Studio has grown to become one of Boston's foremost Centers of Japanese Art's and Culture. Boston's first Japanese Tea House is on the property and visitors can study Japanese calligraphy, Japanese language, Haiku (A form of Japanese poetry ), Koto, Japanese Interior Design, and more.In addition art courses in painting, ceramics, poetry, music and other disciplines are offered.

Kaji Aso - Petite Museum Fans, Patrons, and students the world over are beginning a project to realize a "Petite Museum" to showcase the works and legacy of Kaji Aso. The three year project will raise funds and services to document the life work of Kaji Aso and present it at a permanent location in Boston and in Japan.
