Japanese Tea House - "Flower Wind"

Mr. Aso created the Fist Tea House in Boston at the Kaji Aso Studio in 1985. Tea Ceremony is being performed every Sunday from 4pm to 6pm. Mr. Aso was performing Tea Ceremony until his passing in March 2006. Ms. Kate Finnegan, an apprentice to Mr. Aso for more than 20 years is currently performing the Tea Ceremony.

Tea Master Kaji Aso
Mr Aso has had various experiences of tea ceremony school in Japan. He was seeking the most original and ancient form of tea ceremony. At Kaji Aso Studio, apprentices are doing all the basic research and exercise of tea ceremony, including the making of tools and pasties.

Tea Apprentice Kate Finnegan
Ms. Kate Finnegan has studied Japanese tea ceremony once a week, under the direction of Mr. Aso since 1983. She has been to Japan numerous times and has done her own research of tea as well. Her vision of tea is not just the adaptation of a certain style, but has a more wide understanding of life and nature, as her master believes as well.
